Where and when do you train?  

We train at Forster Memorial Park, Whitefoot Lane, Catford SE6 on Saturday mornings.  Training starts at 9,30 until 11.30ish.

 

Where is your home ground?

Our home ground is also at Forster Memorial Park.  All matches are held on Saturday mornings, scheduled for 10.30am kick-off, unless notified otherwise.

 

Kit

Training – shinpads, football boots (no trainers)

Matches – shinpads, football boots, black shorts, black socks

Players are given a club football shirt to wear on match days (which must be given back to coach after each match for washing)

 

Club Fees 2016/2017

We have been working hard to secure funding which will allow us to keep our club fees affordable for all.      The fees remain the same as it did last year.

U12 - £40

U14 - £50

U16 - £50

This price demonstrates excellent value for money as it incorporates pitch costs, referees

NO player will be allowed to play unless their club fee is paid in full by the time the league starts in October.

 

Can I pay the fees instalments?

Yes of course.   Please email John Richardson and advise him of the amount you have paid in.

 

When can I start paying?

We are happy for you to start paying in small amounts weekly from August BUT the fees MUIST be paid in full before the league starts.  Please email Johnrichardson1953@hotmail.com John Richardson, club treasurer  to confirm receipt.

 

How do I pay the club fees?

Is there any discount for siblings?

Unfortunately not this year. 

 

When does pre-season training starts?

It normally starts the last week of August, however notices will be placed onto the website when we officially start back.

 

What is the name of the league you play in?

It is called the South London Churches League.  The league is managed and co-ordinated by Harry Canning of Crystal Palace Community Church

 

Could I invite another team to play in the league?

Yes you could.   As this is a church league then we are trying to encourage more church teams to join.  Please could you contact Harry Canning about this in the first instance.  Send us an email and we will provide you with his contact details.

 

Do you take part in any tournaments throughout the year?

Yes we do.  The Football Association runs the Saturday London County Cup tournament from October to March.  It is a knockout tournament.  Extremely competitive and challenging.

We are always on the lookout for competitions or one day events to take part in throughout the year.

 

I understand the club took part in the Futsal competition in February, will you be taking part next year?

Absolutely, as long as Lewisham FA invites us we will take part in the competition also.  It is a 5 aside game,  very fast, very physical – you need defenders ..  (don’t want to put you off)

 

Are you looking at getting new items of club clothing?  

Yes we are!   Please watch this space

 

Club Expectations

All players are expected to attend training on a regularly basis if they wish to be considered for matches. It will be left up to the coaches’ discretion regarding this issue.   

 

Coaches

All coaches are CRB checked, some are First Aid qualified.

 

Do you have a Men’s Team?  

The over 18s play on Thursdays nights at Downham Leisure Centre from  7.30pm, open to years 9 and above,  pay and play.  If you are interested, then contact Phil Cooper on 07787 721002.
